GCE “O” LEVEL Examinations are conducted in Singapore annually. The nation-wide examinations are administered by the University of Cambridge jointly with Ministry of Education, Singapore and are recognized through the world.

The standardization of the examinations allows them to be a reliable means of assessing ability for entrance into tertiary institutions such as Junior College or Polytechnics and even overseas universities.

Candidates will take the following subjects: English, Science, Elementary Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, and Principles of Accounts. All the examinations are in English. The level of achievement in each subject is indicated by the grade obtained, with A1 being the highest achievable grade, and students receive an overall score by summing up the corresponding scores.

Calendar

The examinations are held in October to December each year;

Students must register for the examinations in March in the same year.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

• Local students may take up the program if they intend to re-sit the examinations as private candidates
• Foreign students must satisfy the minimum age requirement of 15 on 1st January of the examination year. They should have completed at least Secondary 3 equivalent in their home country
• English Proficiency: ASMT English Intermediate Level

WHY IS PREPARATION NECESSARY

The standard of the GCE “O” Level Examinations is high. Local students undergo four years of secondary school education before sitting for these examinations. In addition to its demanding contents, foreign students may have to overcome a language barrier as all the examinations (except language papers) are in English.

Our program fully supports the development and utilization of success-oriented skills and strategies, and prepares students for their GCE ‘O’ level examinations. Students will pass and obtain good results in their examination and pursue their next path of education into Singapore or Overseas Colleges and Universities.

Monday to Friday: 6 hours (09:00am – 12:00 noon; 01:00pm – 04:00pm)
Monday to Thursday: evening class (06:00pm – 09:00pm)
